The Housing Safety and Wellbeing Taskforce was founded in January 2022 by Aico, the European Market Leader in Home Life Safety, alongside Paddy Gray and Paul Dockerill. It was launched in conjunction with a piece of research undertaken by Cebr that highlighted the economic impact of fire across the different regions of the UK. To find out more about the research visit our research page.
With Aico’s mission statement acting as a promise to promote best practice, engage with communities and deliver safer homes, Aico were keen to collaborate with professionals from the social housing sector to drive meaningful change to improve both resident safety and housing.
Paul Dockerill, a long-standing member of the Walsall Housing Group and champion for housing safety and well-being, passed away peacefully last year.
